Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions are between you and Astryx ("Astryx", "we", "us"), the seller and operator of the Astryx web application. By creating an account, continuing to use the service, or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you use Astryx on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.

Astryx provides AI-assisted fitness and nutrition coaching: personalized calorie and macro estimates, weekly workout and diet plans, meal photo scanning, fridge-based meal ideas, step and weight tracking, and an AI coach. All calorie, macro, timeline, workout and meal figures are estimates for general information only — they are not medical advice and not a guarantee of results.

Talk to a doctor before starting any diet or exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating. Stop any activity that causes pain or distress. AI meal recognition and recipes may be inaccurate; review portions, ingredients, allergens and calories before logging or preparing food.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

You must not misuse Astryx. This includes, without limitation:

• Using the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive;
• Infringing anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Uploading malware, probing or attacking the service, or scraping it;
• Reverse engineering, reselling, redistributing, or circumventing technical limits (including scan allowances);
• Uploading content you do not have the right to use.

Astryx and its content — software, design, branding, illustrations, plans and documentation — are owned by Astryx and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your selected plan. You retain ownership of content you upload; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the service.

Paid plans (monthly, annual and lifetime) and additional meal scans are sold through our online reseller Paddle.com. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. New subscriptions include a two-day free trial; you are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy: you may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate these policies. When your access ends, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy; you may delete your account and its data at any time from the More screen.

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (including loss of profits, data or goodwill). Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
